Why are there "water rich countries" and "water poor countries" if there is enough fresh water for everyone on Earth?
Unfortunately 663 million people in the world live without clean water. Most of them live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Walking for water keep kids out of school and take up time that parents could be using to earn money. And that's not the worst, water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick. So clearly, the water crisis is a girls crisis, a health crisis, a children´s and education crisis as well as an economic crisis. Something must change for these poor people!
In contrast, most water rich countries' people tend to waste water or aren't so precautious as they must be about this issue. Somehow, a great majority aren´t aware of this terrible situation where poor girls, boys and people in water poor countries are going through.
To conclude, I believe we all have to think about the future generations, and the Earth's future. If we don't measure and reduce the use and wasting of water, this will keep on growing until we get all affected.
