Tropical Cyclone Gonu

In Environmental Management we searched for information of a tropical cyclone, and made a brief summary answering the following questions:
  1. When did it happened?
  2. Where did it happened?
  3. Which was it’s category?
  4. Which were the effects?
Here my summary:
Gonu became a tropical storm in the morning of June 2, 2007. And on the next day, June 3, Gonu went from a tropical storm to a tropical cyclone.
It happened in the east-central Arabian Sea and moved over the central Arabian Sea and into the Coast of Oman.
Gonu began with Category 2 and ended up with a Category of 5.
This natural hazard unfortunately affected 20000 people and killed 50 people. Roads were destroyed.
A cargo ship sank in the coastal waters. There was extensive damage to the electricity infrastructure and consequently, there was interruption of electricity supply and water production at several facilities.
